A Sampling of Past Workshops:

"Yoga to Enhance Intimate Relationships"

Sunday October 28th, 2018 2-4pm

at Kula Yoga $40

As humans we are here on earth to learn what love is.

We are wired for intimacy... in our heart of hearts it is what we ultimately crave.

Yet it can evade so many of us.

Join Dr. Rachel Allyn and special guest teacher Larry Thraen from Houston for a provocative conversation and embodied practice in which we come home to our most tender self, the self that wants to give and receive love and feel the courage to express vulnerability, because it is the portal to deep connection.

Expand in your mind as well as the fluidity of your body during this 2 hour workshop, open to all genders, all bodies and all levels of yoga experience. Liberate yourself from old storylines around masculinity and femininity and reconnect to your subtle-body energy, the chakras.

We will blend education, discussion, yoga and meditation and bring awareness to the barriers that prevent you from experiencing a fully intimate life.

"The Pleasure Is All Mine:

Embody Your Sexual Vitality"

Thursday, October 25th, 2018 from

7 - 8:30pm  $35

at mXe movement studio in Minneapolis

Yes the pleasure is all YOURS. ALL of it.

Because you DESERVE it!

AND (contrary to what you may have been taught)

pleasure is not an indulgence.

Lacking pleasure, and the building blocks of pleasure — connection to your body, your sensuality,

your ability to feel presence and cultivate a sense of play — is a public health issue.

The consequences of depriving yourself this natural human emotion include

everything from being disconnected emotionally to physical inflammation,

addiction, mood disorders and more.

Let’s face it, as a woman you are a rockstar at being nurturing to others.

But you neglect yourself too often.

Pleasure is one breath, one heartbeat, one touch away, it just needs you to reclaim it.

(And the bonus is that everyone around you benefits as well.)

This gathering turns the spotlight on helping you find freedom from guilt,

shame or avoidance of the pleasure you deserve.

In this women’s-only gathering

we’ll look at the reasons why it’s so hard to give yourself pleasure

— whether it be a piece of chocolate or an orgasm —

and mind-body tools to reconnect you to pleasure in your body, and in the bedroom.

{Includes bubbly, chocolate and a surprise take home gift!}

Imagine growing up in a sex positive household — a place where your parents talked naturally and openly about your body, sensuality and sexuality. A place where you learned the actual names for your genitals instead of calling them “private parts.” A place where you were encouraged to be curious and fascinated in your body, just the way it is. Imagine receiving sex education in school at an appropriate age (as opposed to not at all, or when you were far too old) about the joys and pleasures of physical intimacy and sex, rather than it being fear-based, scaring the heck out of you and leading to guilt, shame or denial of your natural, beautiful, omnipotent sexual self!

Join me as I engage us in a conversation around cultivating a fresh start to your sexual self-care. Because it’s never too late to embody an attitude that recognizes it’s your birthright to receive pleasure....an attitude believing that sexual health is a fundamental part of your overall wellbeing, and an appreciation for how your sexual energy inspires creativity, connection and vitality. Together we’ll integrate education and discussion, including answering all of your juiciest questions about your body, sex, and intimacy.

Allow the yoga mat to be a place to explore and find peace in your relationship with food and your body. We’ll learn how to tolerate and manage our emotions to prevent turning to food to numb or distract. Through conscious and intuitive eating habits we will find ways to optimize mental and physical energy and maintain a balanced mood. Our focus is on breaking the stress/food cycle, becoming more mindful and “attention-full” with eating, and learning ways to use the body as a resource for understanding the emotional cycle as it relates to behaviors around food. This series combines education in neuroscience, buddhist psychology, yoga and breathing exercises to address the issue holistically. *Worksheets and personalized e-coaching in between sessions are provided. Email me with questions about this multi-faceted course : DrRachelAllyn@gmail.com
